Devil’s Ladder, Comox Lake BC.

My name is Evan Thibault and welcome to my intro page.

I grew up in Nova Scotia in a small town, named Lunenburg. A little fishing village on the east coast of Canada, thriving in the North Atlantic. In the early 2000s my father moved to Golden, British Columbia, which introduced me to the province I now call home. Three years ago I moved to Vancouver Island and now get to call The Comox Valley home.

I decided to enroll in the Communications Design program offered at North Island College as it will prove to be a stepping stone for my professional goals. This will be my third time in post-secondary studies and I am very excited to add to my academic arsenal.

I am ambitiously building towards launching a start-up I have been designing for many years and the skills I will obtain in the Digital Design program at NIC will aid me in some of the bootstrapping milestones I have coming up.

This course sounds very exciting to me as I would like to learn more about design and digital culture and its influence on our society at large. Technology and culture are the mergings of two incredibly important influences on our daily lives.

Learning is essential, and learning should never end. Let’s get to it.

Cheers to the adventurous ones!
